Lipstick: Flawless by Sonya

Hey so I thought I'd share with you my new favourite lipsick! It's the Shade 406 Watermelon by Sonya. The first thing that appealed to me was the lovely pinky colour followed by the nice subtle vanilla scent it has about it.

As the product is Aloe Vera based and all natural it is very kind to the lips and moisturizes very well indeed! Another note-worthy fact is it's great staying power. It lasts much longer than I ever cared to give it credit for!

At £16.64 it's an upper-end lipstick but based on it's longevity and lipcare, not to mention lovely packaging I wouldn't expect the little tube to be anything less :) Also it comes in 12 great shades!...I already have my eye on the Cherry Red ;)

You can see the full range of lipsticks and other makeup items from the Flawless by Sonya brand here

NOTD: Shellac nails

Hi! Just thought I'd share my new nails with you all. I get gel overlays every 3-4 weeks and always swap the colour. Today I went for a nice autumny plum shade in a special nail varnish called shellac. With this type of varnish a UV light is used to set the formula. They come out lovely and shiny and they are instantly dry. It also doesn't chip like regular polish.

I had the same polish applied to my toes. I love the shellac because as I say it lasts ages. The last time I changed my toes was 6 weeks ago and the shellac I had before was still perfect apart from the nail growth! :)

Gel overlays, shellac nails and shellac toenails cost me £50 altogether. Not cheap exactly but they are so worth it! I'd recommend this polish to anyone.

NOTD: Essie's Fiesta

I decided to brighten up my nails after my last shade, you know, hanging on to summer and all that! ;)
I haven't had a nice pink colour for ages and considering it's my favourite I thought it was about time!

I spotted Essie's Fiesta in the nail salon and liked how "Barbie" it was. Really pleased with the result!

What do you think?

A very pink NOTD :)

Hey guys. So I picked up this vibrant pink shade a few weeks ago now and I've only just managed to try it out! I've been neglecting my nails of late so thought I'd add a splash of colour today...and boy is it a good colour!

When Model's Own brought out their neon collection I was immediately drawn to the pink shade. I love PINK!

Called Bubblegum, it's easy to apply and quick drying. Two very important things I look for in a polish. Patience isn't my forte when it comes to nails :P

I don't believe the photo quite does the colour justice but I think it's just perfect for sunshine months! Granted today started drizzly and wet for me, but now the sun's managed to break through. Bank holiday weekend was just gorgeous, for a change!

If you love pink and want to catch eyes this Spring/Summer I'd say go grab yourself a pot of this. It retails for just £5! Bargain.

Urban Decay's 24/7 Eye Pencil

I cannot believe I haven't blogged about this little gem before!...I mean, sure it's featured in some favourite posts but it truly deserves it own stand alone post... because it's that good!

It's no secret that I'm a big Urban Decay fan and I would have to say that eyeliner is possibly my favourite piece of makeup...if I had to categorically choose of course!

I tend to feel a little bit naked if my waterline isn't coloured in so to speak (and no, there is no pun intended there in ref to UD's eyeshadow palettes hehe!)

I had a browse around a Urban Decay counter some time last year, I think Feb '12 time, and just so happened to test some of the 24/7 Glide On Eye Pencils. They had a beautiful colour range but being a predominantly black eyeliner girl I sort out that one.

The colour Perversion was described to me as their blackest of black shades and after a quick draw on the back of my hand I knew I HAD to get it. The black was so intense, certainly blacker than any pencil liners I'd ever come across! I'm not sure if the photo does it the justice it deserves but believe me, it's BLACK BLACK!

Another impressive thing about this eyeliner is it's creamy consistency. It makes applying it to the waterline incredibly easy and soft. I can't stand that awful scratchy feeling some eyeliners create...eurgh!

Wearing Perversion on my waterline & Mac's gel liner on my upper lash line :)
As for its staying power...it does a really great job. I'm unsure if 24/7 is all that realistic but to give you an idea, I always have to take care to remove it at the end of any day. Even when I've worked out for 3 hours it'll still be there to some extent...but the good news is I never find it to run and cause panda eyes!

I use it pretty much everyday and considering I've had it over the year mark, despite sharpening it regularly, it's nowhere near used up yet. At £14, I feel it's quite a bargain with it's long usage and the quality of the product. Well worth it in my opinion. I'll certainly be repurchasing when mine is all gone!
